Besan Dhokla is a Indian snack made with gram flour. You can make it for breakfast snack. In this recipe you will get a simple yet delicious besan dhokla recipe.

Ingredients :-

1) Gram Flour (1 Cup)

2) Salt (As per Taste)

3) Ginger (1/2 Tsp grated)

4) Green Chilli ([1/2 Tsp grated] , [2 or 3 Slit])

5) Eno (1 Tsp)

6) Coriander

7) Mustard seeds (1 Tsp)

8) Oil (2 Tsp)

9) Sugar (1 Tsp)


Instructions :-

Take gram flour in a big bowl

Add salt to it
Mix it
Add water and mix it.
Remove the lumps from it and make a thick paste
Add ginger and green chilli to it
Mix it
Add 1/2 tsp of oil and Mix it


Take a big sauce pan and add water to it.
Add a stand to keep the batter
Grease a plate with oil and keep aside
Take ENO on a plate
Now this is the process you need to do faster Otheriwse dhokla wont rise.
Add ENO to the mixture,
Mix it.
DONOT over mix it

As soon as you add it.
It will start bubbling up
Add it in the greased plate
Place the plate in the pan after the water boils
Close the pan with the lid
Do not open the lid
Cook for 10 mins
After 10 to 12 mins . You will get a fluffy batter.
Check it from poking a tooth pick and if it comes out clean then the batter is cooked
Remove it from the pan.
Cool it down
Take a big spoon and add oil to it
Add mustard seeds and green chillies to it


Add sugar and water to it and let the sugar dissolves
Now add the mixture on the dhokla.
Cut into pieces


Dhokla is ready to eat !!


Super fluffy and spongy
