Idli is a simple and easy recipe. It can be served as a breakfast and
also as a snack. It is made with few ingredients but very delicious.
Ingredients :-
1) Onion
2) Tomato
3) Turmeric or Haldi
4) Green Chilli
5)Garam Masala
6) Salt
7) Ghee or Oil
Instructions :-
Take a deep sauce pan and Add 1 tsp of ghee or oil.
I have added ghee because it is the healthier version
After the ghee gets heated add 1 finely chopped green chilly and onion.
Saute it for few mins or till the onion gets translucent.
After that add 2 small tomatoes or one 1 big tomato and chop it finely.
Add ¼ tsp of haldi.
Add ¼ tsp of Garam Masala and Salt to taste.
Cook it till the tomato gets cooked properly and it looks like a thick paste, for that you need to smash it properly.
Add the chopped idli in the tomato mixture.
Masala Idli is ready to serve.
It looks and tastes delicious.
Serve it with Tomato ketchup or Green Chutney or As it is.

Can we use tomato puree in the the place of sliced tomato ?
Yes, you can use it.
Can we make this in butter ?
Yes, you can do it. I preferred ghee for healthy fats.
